FOLLOW THRU - EAT YOUR HEART OUT

FFO: Much the Same, Nerdlinger, Rise Against, Strung Out

"Play Hard, Play Fast" is the motto of 5 piece melodic skate punk band Follow Thru. Based in Providence, Rhode Island, Follow Thru songs are often described as high energy rippers, with catchy hooks fueled by iced coffee, beer, and self doubt. The band has just released their first full length, "Eat Your Heart Out" on September 3, 2026 on High End Denim Records.

Singer Ryan O'Keefe had this to say about the new record: "Writing “Eat Your Heart Out” was a long and tough journey for us. We wanted to create a full length album that would feel like a portrait of us from start to finish: loud, fast, honest, catchy, reckless. An album that, if you've known us for a while, feels like home, while also still able to give everyone a few surprises."

You can stream it on Spotify, Apple, & Bandcamp.

DEATH CASSETTE - CHEAPER TO DIE

FFO: Amyl and the Sniffers, Die Spitz, Pixies, Hole, L7, Mannequin Pussy, Hot Snakes

Winnipeg's Death Cassette has announced a new full length record called "Cheaper to Die" that will be released in late 2026 via High End Denim Records. As they prepare to perform at Purple City Music Festival in Edmonton on September 13, the band has dropped the title track to give everyone a taste of what they've created. More details on the impending full length will be released very soon!

Guitarist Lindsey Hawkes comments, "The title track “Cheaper to Die” is a straight ahead punk riff with a petulant vocal tone about the frustrations of a reactive healthcare system that seemingly would rather fund someone's death than life. The lyrics were inspired by vocalist Amanda's experience working at a nursing home and navigating healthcare support for her disabled, chronically ill grandfather."

You can stream the song here, or grab it on bandcamp.
